As previously mentioned, drum brakes were standard on the Javelin until 1974.  In that year front  disc brakes went from being an option to being the standard.    Regardless, you wouldn't expect to find both drum and disc brakes on a car, but rather one or the other.  Just one of the curious things to be found when going through and restoring an older car.

We get a chance to work on a lot of really cool projects, but some are more fun than others.  Take for instance this awesome 1971 AMC Javelin.  I really shouldn't be putting up any pictures before it is done, but it is going to be such an awesome car I just can't help myself.  I'll just have to remember to update when it's done.  Until then though, here are a couple of pictures to get you as excited as we are.  It came in painted silver with red pearl, making it look lilac in color.  That quickly got ditched for a bright red that just screams muscle car!
